The Advocate
The Advocate is a handsome 7 year old, 16.1 hand, appendix quarter horse gelding. The Advocate is extremely athletic with great knees and a joy to ride. He would make a great Children's or Adult Hunter and then move up with you into the Juniors or Amateur Owners. He is extremely comfortable to ride and adjusts well at horse shows. There is not much prep before going into the ring with this guy. The Advocate was shown lightly in 2011 winning Championship ribbons in non-rated shows throughout Michigan. He has won blue ribbons in the under saddles as well as over fences. He also showed the first two weeks of HSBB in the Baby Greens and Special Hunters and went in the ring like he had done it for years. Please call for pricing. The Advocate is a must see!!!

I have been riding for many years now. I first began riding with Emily nearly six years ago. Since then, she started her own farm named Blue Oxer in Maple City, MI. I have found Emily to be a wonderful trainer. She is honest, fun, enthusiastic and an excellent all-around horseman. She is kind and gentle with the tots and raises the bar with the advanced riders.
As she herself was taught, each of her students learns all facets of this sport; from grooming and ground work with the horses to the cleaning of tack and everything in between. Emily has worked diligently to earn her certifications from the leading associations/governing bodies in the equine industry. I believe that because she is deeply commited to her craft, she continues to expand her knowledge of the latest proven training techniques and general equine health. She embodies a true passion for horses and her riders, which shines through and makes her one of the most enjoyable trainers I've ever worked with.
For me, Blue Oxer is a lot more than just a barn, it's a family. One which I am so glad to be a part of. I am looking forward to a personal goal of once again taking our gelding back to the show ring this summer with Emily and having a super great time with the whole family (kids, husband and dogs in tow!). The way it should be- fun and safe with a trainer who share all the same values that I have.
